Story of My Transition into a Dog Walking and Pet Care Business

After graduating from Douglas College Veterinary Office Assistant Program in 2007, I was trained in clinic, as a Veterinary Technician. I have worked as a Veterinary Technician over the last 11 years at Crescent Beach Vet Clinic and Guildford Animal Hospital. Busy Paws Dog Walking and Pet Care has now been operational for over two years and I have been loving every minute of it!

One of the benefits of working in the animal health industry is having the background knowledge of what animals need to thrive. I am excited to apply my experience in ways that promote the well-being of pets, without the clinical setting. I have heard many horror stories caused by inexperienced pet care businesses, and my mission is to provide a quality of service that goes unmatched. Besides wanting to enjoy the company of animals in a more fun and rewarding environment, I also want to offer my knowledge and expertise of the ins and out of animal health care industry as a vet tech, which many people in the pet care/dog walking industry do not have.

Deciding to leave the veterinary industry was difficult, but I have thoroughly enjoyed my helping people take care of their pets in a different way. I am extremely passionate about animal care and I am excited to make differences in the live's of pets and their owners from all walks of life.

I have a eight year old high energy Australian Shepherd (River) and a seven year old Shihtzu (Nazzy), and we all look forward to your dogs joining our pack!
