Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you walk the dogs?

Group dog walks are done at off-leash dog parks in Langley and Surrey including Derby Reach and Tynehead. Private walks are done in your local neighbourhood.

What type of insurance coverage do you have?

We are insured and bonded through Profur. This includes:

  • Lost key coverage

  • Vet bill coverage

  • Commercial liability

How many dogs do you walk at one time?

Group walks vary from 3-6 dogs at a time in a controlled environment.

How are dogs screened for group walks?

A meet and greet is the first step to meet you and your dog and learn about your dog’s specific needs. A trial group walk will be done in order to ensure your dog will be a good fit and his/her needs will be met. We reserve the right to withdraw your dog from group walks in the case of any signs of aggression or unwanted behaviours.

What are the requirements for group walks?

Dogs on group walks must:

  • be friendly

  • have excellent recall

  • be licensed

  • be spayed/neutered

  • be well behaved and comfortable in a vehicle

  • be at least one year of age

What days are walks available?

Walks are generally available Monday through Friday, but some weekend walks can be arranged for established clients. A weekend walk surcharge may apply.

Will you cancel walks if the weather is poor?

Walks are done rain, snow or shine, unless it is unsafe to do so.

When is payment due? What type of payment do you accept?

Payment is due at the time of the first walk. We currently accept cash, cheque and etransfer. Cheques should be made payable to Busy Paws Dog Walking.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be billed at full price. If we arrive to pick up a dog and the dog is not there or cannot come on the walk, the walk will be billed at full price. Walks that are cancelled with more than 24 hours notice will be given a credit that can be used towards future walks.
